MyBabyClothes.com Review and Giveaway

GIVEAWAY CLOSED - Winner announced HERE

I am so excited to be doing another review and giveaway with the wonderful team at MyBabyClothes.com.  With Christmas right around the corner, I wanted to select a dress that Skylar could wear to a special occasion like a Christmas party or Christmas eve church service, but nothing too formal so she could wear it again and again.  Skylar and I both looked together on MyBabyClothes.com and we had so much fun shopping.

If you have never shopped there before, now is the time to go!  MyBabyClothes.com is an online provider for many items such as tutus, baby clothing, baby headbands, baby hats, and so much more!  My favorite part is that they offer free shipping on everything, which makes it very convenient.

There were so many adorable things to choose from, and together, Skylar and I chose this Bonnie Jean Knit to Chenille Dress which is absolutely perfect for a little girl to twirl and dance in. The chenille part of the dress is my favorite.  It is super soft and I love the ruffles!  Skylar certainly loves it!

How would you like to win $25 to spend at MyBabyClothes.com?  The awesome team there are giving away a $25 gift certificate to one of my readers.

Thanksgiving Kids Table and Free Printable

Thanksgiving is only a few days away and I'm so excited for our yearly traditions that occur on this special day.  Like waking up to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, eating delicious food that my mother-in-law prepares for all of us (yes, I am extremely spoiled!), and being surrounded by family and watching my kids have the best time playing with their cousins and getting treats from their grandparents.

With the kids in mind, I wanted to share a Thanksgiving tablescape that would be perfect for you little ones!  First, I covered a kid-sized table (I used this table from Ikea) with white wrapping paper.

Then I took 12x12 scrapbook paper and used this adorable Around the Page Punch by Martha Stewart to make some cute placemats.  I layered a white paper plate with a cute turkey plate from Party City.

For a special and personal touch, I added my placecards and Thanksgiving centerpiece seen from my prior posts.

And of course you want to have crayons available for the kids so they can color on their white paper tablecloth!  So once again I wanted to share with you another free printable!  You can use these "Thankful for You" mini treat bag labels to attach to small 3"x4" clear bags.  I used the bags to fill them with crayons, but they are great for other small gifts like stickers, sweet treats, tattoos, or whatever items your kids will love!

They would be great to use for handing out small goodies to friends and classmates too!  Download your free labels HERE!  Make sure to download the matching placecards and centerpiece while you're there!

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving day!!

Free Printable - Thanksgiving Placecards

I love candy corn.  I love the colors, I love how they are shaped, and I love how they taste.  They are perfect for eating, but they are also great to use in crafts (like in my Thanksgiving Centerpiece created HERE).

Now I want to share with you another free printable I created and a tutorial on how to make these cute little placecard displays for the Thanksgiving table, also using candy corn!  You will need:

Small Jars (I used these spice jars from Ikea)
Decorative Ribbon
Candy Corn
Free Printable Blank Placecards (Download HERE)
Scissors or Paper Trimmer
Craft Sticks
Hot Glue Gun

Take the lids off of your jars and fill the jars with candy corn and add a decorative ribbon.

Print your free printable labels that you can download HERE onto heavy white cardstock and cut out each label.  Hand write the names onto your placecards or if you want custom text for the labels, you can purchase in my Etsy Shop HERE.  And fold each label in half.

Take a wooden craft stick and use a hot glue gun to glue the craft stick in the middle of the folded label.

Take your finished sticks and place them in your jar filled with candy corn.  Now you have cute placecard displays for your Thanksgiving table.  These displays would also look great using the labels for food/dessert items instead of names to place on a dessert table!

Have fun creating!

Free Printable - Thanksgving Centerpiece

I have so many things to be grateful for.  I thank God every day for my amazing family and the fact that I can be a stay-at-home-mom making special memories with Brody and Skylar.  So with Thanksgiving just around the corner, I wanted to create a "thankful" centerpiece to display in the house.  Here is the simple tutorial so you can create one for your house!

Supplies Needed:
Free Printable "Give Thanks" Tags (Download HERE)
Paper Trimmer or Scissors
2-Inch Circle Scallop or Circle Craft Punch (I use this one)
6-Inch Lollipop Sticks
4-Inch Lollipop Sticks
Rectangular Vase or Planter (I use the same one from this project)
Floral Styrofoam
Candy Corn

First you will need to print the free printable that you can download HERE.

Next, print the file onto heavy white cardstock paper.  Cut into columns and use a 2-inch circle scallop or 2-inch circle craft punch to punch out each letter or image.

Once all the tags are punched out.  Glue the turkey tags and "G", "I", "V", and "E" tag onto 6-inch lollipop sticks.  Glue the "T", "H", "A", "N", "K", and "S" tags onto 4-inch lollipop sticks.

Set the tags on sticks aside.  Place the floral Styrofoam inside the planter.

Start placing the sticks into the Styrofoam and spacing properly as needed (you might need to play around for proper spacing).

When you are satisfied with the spacing of the letters, cover the Styrofoam with candy corn.

And now you have a cute Thanksgiving decoration!  Stay tuned for more free Thanksgiving printables and my tablescape for the kids' Thanksgiving table!

Treats Made With Candy

Do you recognize these little guys?

Do they look like they are from the prehistoric times?

Skylar and Brody had so much fun dressed up as Pebbles and Bam Bam on Halloween.

Brody really got into his character and Skylar just wanted to wear lip gloss, plus she enjoyed getting more makeup put all over her face (since I used eyeshadow for the "dirt".)  I sewed their costumes this year and thankfully they actually fit!

But enough about Halloween night.  Halloween is over and I'm sure you still have tons of candy left from trick or treating!  So I wanted to compile some recipes using candy as ingredients.  Just click on the link below the photos to view the recipes.

Enjoy!
