Pumpkin Character Book Report

Halloween is almost here!  There are lots of Halloween decorations around the neighborhood and candy is on sale at every store.  And even at their school, there are fun activities that are geared around Halloween and pumpkins!

For Skylar's 1st grade class, they had to do a pumpkin character book report.  We had to read a book together as a family and Skylar had to write about a specific character in the book and we also had to create a pumpkin to look like the character.

We chose the character Pete the Cat from Pete the Cat and His Magic Sunglasses.

Skylar absolutely loves Pete the Cat and the whole family had a fun time working on this project together.

If you and your family are working on a similar project, check out the Pinterest board I created to help you find some inspiration!  Just click on the photo below and you will be directed to my Pinterest Board and the original sources of the photos below.

This was actually a really fun project to work on together!  Even if you don't have a book report to do for school, these pumpkins make great alternatives to carved versions if you wanted to make one just for fun!
