Game Day Snacks & Free Printable Snack Bag Labels

It's football season!  My family and I love to watch college football.  We've owned season tickets to see our beloved UCF Knights football team since my husband and I graduated from there in 2001.  I know we are having a pretty rough season so far, but we are true fans, through good times, and the bad times!  And even though we are passionate about the game of football, we also love the tailgating activities that come with watching the sport.  Who doesn't enjoy eating and drinking outside, while hanging out with friends?

Nuts.com inspired me to share my thoughts on healthy tailgating snacks, and I knew exactly what to write about because my family and I love to tailgate and we have a pretty good system going.  Yes, we tend to eat some "junk food", like potato chips, burgers, hot dogs, and so forth.  But I also like to pack some healthier options, like apples, grapes, trail mixes, and dried fruit.

To make things easier (and more sanitary), I take big bags of snacks and throw them into individual plastic snack bags so that anybody can just grab what they want and they don't have to worry about sharing a big bag of food with other people's fingers.

My favorite snacks are pretzels, dried banana chips, and Sweet & Spicy Cajun trail mix.  If you need more ideas of healthy snack options, check these ideas from Nuts.com. They believe you don't have to "fumble" when it comes to food choices on game day.  You can click on the photo below to check out more healthy snacking information and ideas.

To add a little bit of pizzazz to these snacks, I created a free printable snack bag label to share with you!  Since my family and I are not only season ticket holders to UCF Knights football games, but also to the new MLS team Orlando City SC games, I created labels for both football and soccer fans.

Not only can you use these snack bag labels for tailgating, but wouldn't these be cute for post-game soccer snacks for your little one's soccer team?  Brody plays both fall and spring soccer, so we continue to make sure we bring healthy snack options for him to eat before and after his games.

Then print on white heavy cardstock paper (I get my cardstock from my local Walmart store or you can get order on Amazon HERE).
