Merry Christmas!

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace and goodwill towards men.
 Luke 2:11-14

Merry Christmas from my family to yours!  I hope you enjoy celebrating the holiday season with all of your loved ones.  I can't thank you enough for all of your support and for letting me share some of my very special moments with you!  I look forward to the upcoming year and what may lie ahead for all of us!  God bless you all!

Our Gingerbread House and Christmas Baking

Christmas in just around the corner.  We decided to make a gingerbread house this year and I realized that making a gingerbread house is a lot harder than it looks.  I also didn't know that it took so long for the icing to dry before the kids could put candies on it, so this ended up being a 2-day project.  But it's definitely worth it and a lot of fun.

Here's Brody and Skylar sorting through the candies BEFORE eating any, they were very excited!

And here are the kids AFTER eating a bunch of the candy...

In the end, the whole family was happy with our cute little gingerbread house.

The kids and I also did some baking for goodies to give to our neighbors and Chris' office party, so I figured I would share those photos too.  Here are my little bakers...

I hope you are having a "sweet" time preparing for Christmas!

Free Printable - Merry Christmas Tags

I recently asked Brody what he wanted to give to his classmates as a small Christmas gift.  I wasn't really sure what he would say and for a second I wish I didn't ask such an open-ended question.  He thought about it for a while as we were shopping at Target.  Finally he says, "How about candy canes?".

I thought candy canes would be perfect!

To dress the candy canes up a little bit, I made some 2-inch "Merry Christmas" tags (these tags even match the "Happy Birthday Jesus" banner I posted HERE).  I cut a slit on the top and bottom to stick the candy canes through, put them in a cute Christmas bucket, and Brody is set to share his treats with his friends!  Here they are up close...

How would you like your very own "Merry Christmas" tags?  Of course I wanted to share them with my blog readers.  Not only do they look great on candy canes, but they would also make great cupcake toppers, gift tags, favor tags, candy jar tags, etc.  Download them HERE.

Also, I am now using a new site to share my files (www.box.com).  While Scribd was a free site, you still needed to create an account to download the files, and now you shouldn't need one.  Most of my old printables have been switched over too.

Enjoy!

Free Printable - Happy Birthday Jesus Banner

It's hard to believe that it is already December and that Christmas is less than a month away!  We are all very excited here for Christmas morning and it is always such an exciting time for the kids to run to the Christmas tree and open their presents.  Last year, we started a new tradition.  We decided to have a birthday party breakfast for Jesus!  I made double chocolate chip muffins, and the kids each got a candle in their muffin as we sang happy birthday to Jesus!

In case you missed my free Happy Birthday Jesus banner that I posted last year, I wanted to post it again so you can have your own birthday party for Jesus!

Get your free printable HERE!  Then print on white heavy cardstock paper, cut along the lines, make slits, and string with ribbon to make a festive banner of your own!  Enjoy!
