Introducing My New Party Collections

After many months of designing customized decorations for my personal use, I decided to start selling my creations and I actually sold a banner to my first customer on Saturday!!  (Thanks Joy!)  I had such a fun time participating in my local MOMS Club holiday shopping event where many wonderful moms got to showcase their home businesses.  Thank you to our wonderful friend and hostess, Carrie, for opening up her home and hospitality to all of us!

It was there where I showcased my 3 new party collections.  All come with a matching banner, fun labels, and party punches (that can be used for cupcake toppers, napkin ring holders, thank you favors, etc.)  Check them out:

Butterfly Party

It is officially autumn, but I had to show a picture of Brody and Skylar in their white clothes to remind me of those lazy summer days when I didn't have to worry about getting to school on time.  But honestly, autumn is my favorite season.  My favorite holidays are coming up and I cannot wait to see how the kids will look in their Halloween costumes.  And I can't wait to start playing my Christmas music!  We should always be singing about Jesus!

For more pretty things to look at, I found this beautiful party while browsing through Hostess With the Mostess.  It is a butterfly party from A Blissful Nest, and I love the pink and yellow color combination.  Makes me want to have a butterfly party just for the heck of it!  Check out all of the pictures HERE.

Football Fun

As most of you know, Chris and I love college football.  So much that both our pregnancies were actually planned around football season.  Well, the season just started and we've already enjoyed two home games.  In honor of football season, I wanted to share with you this awesome football party found on Pizzazzerie, a new website that I am in love with!  Check out some fun football party tips HERE.  I discovered this website when Courtney from Pizzazzerie was featured on the Martha Stewart website (check out her story HERE).

And for more football fun, I have to show a picture of Brody wearing his very own UCF helmet at show and tell, and a shot of Skylar at her first football game last year.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a nice long weekend.  After enjoying the UCF football game on Saturday with Chris, Brody, and my awesome nephew, Lesz, we went for a quick getaway to Daytona Beach with our good friends Sang and Gonzalo and their boys.  I was very lazy so I didn't take any pictures, but I found this photo on the web and it is pretty much the same view we had from our hotel room.  It feels great waking up and opening the curtains and seeing the ocean!

On another note, today is my Lola Naty's birthday.  She is in California right now and I wish I could give her a big hug.  I found this old photo of her with my little Brody.  Happy birthday Lola!!  We love you and miss you and wish we could celebrate this day with you!

Riccinni's Surprise Disco Birthday Party

My family was successfully able to surprise my sister, Riccinni, last Saturday by throwing her a surprise 40th birthday party at her own house, disco style!  My favorite moment was when she walked in carrying some groceries, including a 12-pack of Charmin toilet paper.

As far as the decor for the party, I have to admit that a disco theme was a little difficult to work with.  So I just went with bright and flashy colors, but of course the main emphasis was my sister, so we had lots of her pictures throughout the house and it was nice going through memory lane.

The party was a success and it is obvious how much Riccinni is loved.  She has a wonderful group of friends who love her and I am so grateful to her husband Lesz for helping me plan this, along with my mom and the rest of the family.  Here are some pictures:

Big Boy Brody

Brody's First Day of School
I can't believe that my little boy is in preschool already.  The first day was a little rough (a little bit of screaming, "Don't leave me Mommy" and "I don't want to stay in school").  But now that we are in the second week of school I actually hear, "I love school, Mommy".  What a big difference a week can make.

Since Brody did such a good job at school, he received a special present.  Brody absolutely loves riding his bike.  He has been without training wheels since he was 3 years old and that bike was falling apart since he used it so often (he's even been able to ride 7 miles on a bike trail once)!  So this week he got his big boy present and he loves it!  I'm so proud of my Brody!
